My artwork is now available at Co.LAB – A Collective, located on Queen Street, Berry - which lies on the beautiful South Coast. On display and available for purchase are two featured pieces: “The Silence of the Stream - Broughton Creek, Berry” and a painting created especially for my opening day, titled “A Moment's Rage - Emerald Resilience, Berry Mountain”.

Materials used:

Both artworks are created using a combination of acrylic paint, ink, plaster, sand, oil pastel, paper, and polymers, all applied to stretched canvas. “The Silence of the Stream - Broughton Creek, Berry” is further enhanced by being encased in a matte black metal frame, adding a sophisticated touch to its presentation.

Prints, Cards, and Magnets for sale

In addition to the two original pieces, there is a wide selection of prints available in various sizes. Some prints are framed, while others feature hand-torn edges for a unique, organic look. There is also an array of cards and magnets showcasing my art and photography, providing options for different tastes and budgets.

Torn Edge Prints

The hand-torn, or deckled, edges on selected prints offer an upgraded feel and an informal yet artistic finish. These prints are produced using the Giclee (zhee klay) process, which employs large format printers and high-definition archival inks on a selection of acid-free papers. After printing, the technicians carefully deckle the edges by hand, resulting in a distinctive feathered effect reminiscent of high-quality mould-made paper.

Metal Prints

I am currently exploring metal prints, with one available in store and three more on their way. If you are interested in a particular artwork or print, please take a business card from the front desk and let me know your preferred piece and size, or inform the friendly staff.

Metal Print Features

Each metal print is crafted using high definition 3mm ACM and printed with advanced SwissQprint technology, producing exceptional clarity, vibrant colours, and silky whites. The innovative metal surface eliminates glass-like reflections, ensuring a clear and captivating view from any angle. This allows the artwork to maintain its brilliance wherever it is displayed, free from distracting glare.

Designed for both indoor and outdoor settings, the metal prints are versatile and elegant. Their robust build makes them durable enough to withstand various elements, making them suitable for living rooms, galleries, bedrooms, bathrooms, and even outdoor BBQ areas. These prints retain their visual appeal over time, regardless of the environment.

Painting Information

The Silence of the Stream, Broughton Creek, Berry

This painting forms part of a series dedicated to aerial perspectives, inviting viewers to contemplate the landscape as a bird might while soaring above Broughton Creek in Berry. The composition centres on the creek itself—modest in scale yet visually striking, its surface gleaming with the shimmer of sunlight. This radiant effect lends a sense of tranquillity and quiet to the waterway, underscoring its gentle presence within the broader scene.

To the right of the creek lies Berry Mountain, where the terrain dramatically shifts. Here, I have imagined the land appearing dry and yellowing, a stark contrast to the lushness of the creek below. The painting captures the intensity of full sun beaming down, which emphasises the aridity of the mountain landscape. This interplay between the shimmering green of the creek and the parched earth of the mountain creates a compelling visual contrast, highlighting the delicate balance between water and land, and the transformative effects of sunlight on the environment.

A Moment's Rage - Emerald Resilience, Berry Mountain

This painting vividly captures the intensity of a summer storm sweeping across Berry Mountain. The sky is dominated by heavy, dark clouds that press low over the mountain peaks, creating a sense of anticipation and drama. These clouds cast deep, shifting shadows across the valley and the rolling hills below, transforming the landscape into a moody and atmospheric scene.

The interplay between light and dark within the composition is particularly striking, as flashes of brightness pierce through the gloom, highlighting the powerful contrasts created by the storm. This dramatic effect serves to evoke the formidable presence of nature, immersing the viewer in the raw energy and emotion of a fierce summer storm.

If you are strolling the shops of Berry pop in a see my work along with many other local artist – it is such a beautiful place to browse where you can take a piece of the south coast home with you.
