Whispering Undercurrent - Sliced Waters presents a powerful juxtaposition of the sea's surface tranquillity and the dynamic energy beneath it. It is what I imagine the ocean through a defined separation or 'cut' in the plane of the water.

The top of the painting represents the sky and then the smooth, glistening surface of the water, reflecting the sky and light, with subtle, gentle waves. It features a stark, graphic line—the "sliced water"—that exposes the bustling, more chaotic "undercurrent" of the ocean's depths.

The overall mood is one of mystery and raw power, inviting you to look beyond the calm exterior and contemplate the hidden forces and complex life that exist beneath the tranquil surface. The "whispering" is a quiet but persistent energy that the "sliced waters" reveal.
