The Silent Ledger Series ~ $400.00 per painting or $2 000.00 for the series
A silent interrogation of identity and time.
In The Silent Ledger, the figure becomes both subject and record—an internal ledger of moments, burdens, choices and quiet transformations. Nothing is openly declared. The account remains private, held within the body and suggested through posture, absence and stillness.
Yet the silence is never absolute.
Words seep from within. Letters drift beyond the boundaries of the body. Fragments of language float into the surrounding world—thoughts, memories and unspoken truths escaping before they can be contained. The words are never fully legible; they remain incomplete, like pieces of a private narrative that can be felt but never entirely understood.
Across the six works, the figure gradually merges with the background of life, becoming less a separate individual and more a presence absorbed into the passage of time. At the same time, the hidden internal world begins to make its way outward. The body becomes a vessel for everything that has been held inside, while the floating letters become traces of what cannot remain entirely unspoken.
The ledger is never fully opened. Its contents remain concealed—felt rather than explained, written within the body and scattered into the world beyond it.
1. Standing Still
A moment suspended between what has been and what may come. The figure exists in stillness, quietly holding its place within the passage of time. Beneath the surface, the first fragments of thought begin to gather.
2. Turning Away
A retreat inward. The figure turns from the visible world, suggesting withdrawal, reflection or the refusal to continue looking at what lies behind. Words begin to escape the body, even as the figure attempts to remain closed.
3. Waiting
Time becomes the subject. The figure remains suspended in uncertainty, caught between anticipation and resignation. Letters drift around the body like thoughts that have lost their original order.
4. Holding OnA quiet act of endurance. The figure clings to something unseen—memory, identity, hope or simply the strength to remain. The internal ledger presses against the surface, and fragments of its language begin to emerge.
5. Weighed Down
The accumulated weight of time and experience becomes almost physical. The figure appears increasingly absorbed by the world around it, burdened by what has been carried within. Words and letters seep outward as though the body can no longer contain them.
6. Rising
Not a triumphant escape, but a quiet emergence. After stillness, withdrawal, waiting, endurance and weight, the figure begins to separate from the background and reclaim its presence. The words that once remained trapped inside now float freely beyond the body—no longer concealed, though still not entirely understood.
Together, the six paintings form a journey from disappearance toward re-emergence—an internal record of identity, time and survival, where the unspoken slowly seeps outward and fragments of the self become visible in the space beyond the body.
