This work was painted for an exhibition with the Shellharbour Art Society.

This painting offers a striking aerial perspective, presenting the landscape as it might appear to a seagull soaring above Seven Mile Beach in Berry. From this high vantage point, the viewer is invited to experience the sweeping panorama of the coastline, where the bright, crisp blue of the water stands in vivid contrast to the surrounding landforms. The intense heat of the sun is palpable, infusing the water with clarity and brilliance, while simultaneously leaving the sand and landscape below parched and dry. This depiction highlights a scene in anticipation of rain, as the earth waits for relief from the relentless sun, capturing both the beauty and vulnerability of the natural environment.
