Monochrome Texture is one within a series where I was exploring the use of predominately black and white. The painting is in the style of abstract expressionism.

The painting is a piece that lives in the grey area—a balance between ‘chaos and structure’. The focus is on form, texture, and light rather than colour distraction.

This painting is textured with plaster that is coloured and the use of a pallet knife. It begins white and slowly becomes black.

 Framing and Finishing Details: The painting has been carefully sealed with varnish to preserve and protect its surface. It is presented in a black wooden floating frame.
