This series explores the Australian landscape through texture, colour and the passage of time. Each miniature painting is an imagined landscape, built through layers of acrylic, palette knife marks and rich, tactile surfaces.

The cracked earth becomes an important element throughout the series, suggesting drought, weathering and the continual transformation of the land. Above it, rugged ochre and golden ridges emerge beneath moody blue-grey skies, while unexpected flashes of rust, green and turquoise bring energy and life to the surface.

Rather than attempting to capture a particular place, I wanted these works to evoke the feeling of standing within an Australian landscape — where dry earth, distant hills, changing light and weather exist in constant tension.

Although each painting can stand alone, together they become three different interpretations of the same enduring landscape.

I — After the RainThe cooler greens and turquoise emerging through the cracked earth give this one a feeling of renewal beneath the weathered surface. SOLD

II — The Red Earth RisesThe central work feels the most powerful and dramatic. The deep rust-red earth rising into the golden hills gives it a real sense of heat and intensity.

III — Where the Land Meets the SkyThe turquoise, ochre and red create a beautiful contrast here, while the pale ridge gives the painting a more open, expansive feeling.

Framing and Finishing Details: Each painting has been carefully sealed with varnish to preserve and protect its surface. It is presented in a wooden floating frame, which allows for customisation. You are able to paint the frame in any colour that best complements your decor, or alternatively, I can paint it for you at no extra cost.
